When spring meets summer, gentle breeze blows,
Peking University (PKU) celebrates its 125thbirthday
Alumni from all over the world returned to PKU,
Alumni of the School of Materials Science and Engineering (SMSE) also returned to Yanyuan,
To celebrate PKU’s birthday!
During the glorious journey of 125 years,
PKU braved a thorny path and confronted stormy weather
Played an irreplaceable role in promoting national awakening and development.
With the new trend of technological revolution and industrial transformation,
PKU strives to explore a new situation of high-quality development in higher education,
And build a world-class university.
On September 23rd, 2020
PKU established SMSE.
Development Conference of SMSE, PKU was held in September 2021.
For the past two years
SMSE serves as the leading force in the construction of new engineering disciplines at PKU
And an experimental field for the integration of north and south.
Guided by national needs,
SMSE promotes the establishment of an organized research model,
And explores a new paradigm for the cooperation between industry, university, and research centers.
With the thriving development,
SMSE actively promotes and integrates into the process of modernization in a Chinese way,
And works together with Peking University to grow up.
Carrying on the glory of 25 years and exploring a new path for the future,
SMSE will stand on the new starting point of innovation
Seize the new opportunities,
And make new historical contributions to the development of Peking University,
With better achievements.

Alumni of SMSE returned,
Relived friendship between teachers and students,
And discussed the development of SMSE together.

During the best time of Yanyuan,
Teachers and students reunited in the Integrated Science Research Center
Received the check-in gift prepared by SMSE
Collected stamps
And took pictures with SMSE background.
Zhangjing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC School of Council Materials Science and Engineering Committee,
Introduced SMSE and its planning layout,
And expressed the hope of further leveraging the positive role of alumni
Deepening their friendship and making good use of their talents,
Encouraging more alumni to contribute to the development and talent cultivation of SMSE,
And assisting alumni and SMSE to grow up together.
After lunch,
Some alumni walked around SMSE,
And some alumni gathered with their classmates and teachers,
And had a happy talk.
