RESEARCH INTERESTS

Research within the Zehuan Group aims to create next-generation supramolecular biomaterials, establish their structure-property relationships and further apply them in biomedical engineering and clinical therapy. We design non-covalent interactions with tunable dynamics and reversibility to construct supramolecular gels/elastomers/plastics with desired structure and property for biomedical applications,e.g., reparative and replacement treatment of cartilage/tendon/ligament. Current research orientations include supramolecular biomaterials, soft tissue engineering, osteological therapeutics, flexible bioelectronics, and high-performance polymers.
